CoreCard’s card management solutions for the Credit, Debit and Prepaid card
industry grew out Research and Development group of PaySys International. The work
is built on the intellectual property resulting from the R&D group’s efforts
to move VisionPlus® card management functionality from a COBOL-based mainframe
environment to a more current technology platform.
By starting with a solid technology foundation, CoreENGINE© provides
all of our products with the ability to leverage common functionality and be configured
though shared system parameters. This allows card issuers and processors to invest
less in software as each additional component uses the common functionality. In
turn, issuers and processors can quickly add new card products and programs for
their customers.

HELPING YOU ACHIEVE A COMMON PAYMENT SERVICES HUB
Recently, the strategy of eliminating system overlap and finding ways to
better interface with common components has been recognized as a leading industry
“best practice”. According to Gartner Research in a recent report on
card management systems, this approach was deemed essential to support the development
of a Payment Services Hub (PSH). In Gartner’s opinion, creating a PSH will
lead to the elimination of much of the systems overlap seen in banks and other card
providers’ environments today.
